The legacy of an artist is the art itself. And Cyndi Lauper knows it. She has put together a wonderful album of blues with the help from B.B. King, Charlie Musslewhite, and Johnny Lang, among others. There may be no pop hits here, but her signature sound and vocal phrasing is there from the opening tack Just Your Fool, to Romance in the Dark, and How Blue Can You Get. A well-balance production entitled to be an award winner soon.
